October the 11th is International Day of the Girl Child; a chance for us to celebrate the power of young girls and work on ways to improve the prospects of young girls around the world.
We should not settle for anything less than a world where girls everywhere have the right to health care, safety and education.
We should not settle for anything less than a world where girls have the right to healthy loving relationships.
We should not settle for anything less than a world where girls have the right to equal opportunity.
We should not settle because we can make a difference, but our united voices are more powerful than our individual ones.
So don’t let Sunday October 11th be another 4pm wake-up, Netflix and chill Sunday.
Make it a day where you raise your voice.
Make it a day that marks the beginning of an on-going process of change for girls everywhere.
