Free film screening July 10th

Screening of Tender's new film on July 10th at Tricycle Cinema

Tender has been working in partnership with Latimer Creative Media to create a new film about abusive relationships.  The film has been developed and produced with a team of young people who have formed it to respond to issues they know to be impacting teenagers.

This short film will be premiered at Tricycle Theatre, 269 Kilburn High Road, London NW 6 7JR on July 10th from 4pm to 6pm.

This free event will include a screening, a Q&A with the young filmmakers, a performance from a drama group and a drinks reception.

If you would like to attend, please email Doireann Larkin on doireann@tender.org.uk

Our new film is set in London and follows the story of 16 year old Jess who has recently started seeing  a boy called Carl from school. This is the most serious relationship she’s been in and Carl wants her to prove how much she cares for him by sending a topless picture of herself. Jess’ brother Aaron and his girlfriend Kelsey want to get to know Carl better and Aaron is being the protective older brother, but isn’t asking himself the same questions about how he treats Kelsey. Meanwhile, Jess’ best friend Amy feels that she’s being pushed away even further. The pressure is building on Jess in the most important relationships in her life; who’s controlling and who’s caring?
