Ten for Tender Pledge Ideas

At our City Hall event, Youth Board members Hannah and Andre invited guests to think of their own ideas for pledging Ten for Tender.

The audience wrote them on our Tender Hands and pegged them up before leaving.  Here’s a list of them to give you some inspiration about what you could do next year to celebrate Tender’s 10th birthday and help to prevent domestic and sexual violence.

Tweet about the work of Tender at 10am for ten days.

I pledge to make 10 Christmas cards.

I work at the Home Office on Violence against Women. I can mention the fabulous work of Tender in 10 meetings with colleagues to raise awareness of your activity.

I pledge that during 2013 I will undertake to run in TEN official events and gather sponsorship for doing so. These will be varying distances and terrain but likely to include 3x5k, 4x10k (including 1 trail run) 1×5 miles, 1x 10 miles and 1 half marathon!! Sophie Minter

I could do tap dancing for 10 minutes for 10 days OR Run 10 laps around my local park-From Dunraven School

I’m going to warn 10 people about the signs of abusive relationships.

I’m going to sell 10 “favour” coupons

Share it with others-be positive to 10 other people.

Ten pin bowling, donate 10p per person.

I pledge to run 10k for Tender.

10 day or 10 month challenge for Tender. Ask 10 friends to donate £10 for Tender.

Promote Tender trust work in schools work with Camden in partnership.

10 Facebook statuses.

Forward Tender’s information to ten people/organizations.

I will talk to 10 strangers about Tender.

Swim 10 lengths of the Crystal Palace pool and tell 10 other people.

10 acts of direct action: campaign, petitions, protest, demonstration, etc. in 10 weeks.

Ten Toasts for Tender.

Talk to 10 people about the issues and get them to talk to 10 people.

Promoting positive relationships. Sharing the training developed by Tender and Dunraven School with 10 other schools.

Write a 10 minute play.

Share the charity with others by selling cakes for 10p at my 10am dance class.

Ten random acts of kindness.

Write 10 short shories or plays over 10 months.

At K-dash (Kent Domestic Abuse Support and Help) we will celebrate when we have 10 young people referred into our new Positive Relationships program! And work with Tender in the New Year! Contact niki@k-dash.org.uk

Encourage my daughter to tell 10 of her friends about Tender.

I will sing for 10 minutes to stranger in public with a poster saying Ten for Tender I am in support.
