Do you ever watch a movie and wish you could decide how it ends? Sometimes you just want to shake the characters and give them some friendly advice, like please don’t go into that old abandoned building all by yourself, or don’t fall for him, he’s not worth it.
The Tender Choices Project is a great interactive film where you can do just that- make decisions and judge what the characters in the scenes should do next depending on the situation. The aim of this project is to try to enable young men and women to create healthy relationships based on respect, trust and equality and to challenge commonly held attitudes that abuse is acceptable. These issues are explored through the attitudes and interactions between different characters. Although the scenes are short, the complexity of what happens makes you think and opens up a discussion about what is healthy and what is unhealthy. In Choices, there are no right or wrong answers and everyone’s opinion is valuable. We want you to actively think about and choose what you believe a person should do when faced with a tough relationship issue.
Tender has been touring the Choices Project around to over 50 different Schools and Youth Centres all over London, but now anyone can experience it for themselves on our interactive viral website where you can watch the film clips and click through the difference options that face each character. Sit back, grab some popcorn and get involved:
