‘Fundraising makes things happen’: Meet Tender’s Development Officer

Following a background in puppetry theatre, Anna joined Tender as Development Officer in June 2022.

Here, Anna discusses their journey to fundraising and why regular donors are so important.

Tell us about your role at Tender

I am Tender’s Development Officer, which means I secure funding from a variety of sources to support the delivery of our projects. I write applications, build relationships with funders and get to work with our fabulous delivery teams. Dream job vibes!

What drew you to a career in fundraising?

Fundraising makes things happen. Ultimately, it’s about bringing people together to solve the world’s most pressing problems.

Why are donors so crucial to Tender’s mission?

We can’t end domestic abuse without donors. Whether they contribute £5 or £500, their help is essential.

You can join us by donating here.

What do you do in your spare time?

I’m a fierce baker (I was the winner of Tender’s Bake Off with my replication of Gail’s cinnamon buns) so am often combining sugar, butter, flour into something delicious.
