Asha Verma

Senior Projects Coordinator (London & the South East)

Asha works as Senior Projects Coordinator for Tender’s London and South East Team. She holds an MA in Human Rights, Culture and Social Justice from Goldsmiths University, where she conducted a research project on the representation of trafficked women in society, using theatre and film as a key medium for exploring these issues.

With a background in education, including a PGCE, and a passion for child development, Asha is particularly interested in alternative forms of provision that allow children to express themselves.

Prior to working at Tender, she led creative sessions for young people from refugee backgrounds and is passionate about making education more accessible for children with English as an additional language. She has also delivered a sex education programme aimed at empowering vulnerable girls from slum communities, directed seminars and trained young advocates to promote social change.
